Why Joep Schreuder?

I'm afraid this is the nail in the coffin for cycling in the Netherlands. This guy is as good an interviewer / journalist / reporter as Cavendish is a mountain goat. The only thing he cares about is getting his own, way too big, head on camera, "by accident", EVERY single time he does a report.

Please Dutchies, can we do a petition to ban this man from cycling again.

I think the explanation is quite simple, Han Kock is in Melbourne so Joep Schreuder replaced him for the weekend (at least I hope so). But it is indeed illustrative of the state of cycling in Holland, if someone with no cycling knowledge at all gets to do these reports.

Just one question remains: why the hell did they send a camera team to Melbourne?

Seriously, be very, very ashmed of yourself. I don't like him at all myself. But the way you talk about a man, humilliating him to the fullest shows a parody of the very man you describe. Talking about being full of oneself.

Hmmm, to be honest, I didn't really know him before reading this thread, eventhough I'm from Holland too.

Probably because I always watch cycling on Sporza and don't really watch TV besides that.

I still recognize his voice though, when I watched the clip of him interviewing Tjallingi, Boom and Terpstra. I must say, there are more pleasant voices to listen to.

Guess I should keep avoiding NOS though and watch cycling on Sporza
