I just returned from a one week vacation in Mallorca with my family. We stayed in the Playa de Muro area. I had reserved a high end road bike rental from Pro Cycle Hire as well as two mtn bikes for my wife and son.
About Pro Cycle Hire; They were absolutely great. Bruce and Mark could not of been more accommodating. They delivered my wife and son´s bikes to our hotel and when my wife and son bailed and decided not to ride, Mark came by the hotel and picked up the bikes, no complaints. My bike was a Giant TCR Advanced with full Dura Ace, very nice. If you´re ever in Mallorca and can get away for some rides, this is the place to get your bike. They have a wider range of choices than appear on their website. Oh yeah, Bruce had designed a map with 8 specific rides of varying lengths and difficulties. Worth the 10€.
As for the riding. Also a beautiful place to ride. Your choice of flat, hilly or nice decent climbs. You can choose the smaller roads that are marked as bike routes and have less auto traffic. It is really a cyclist´s dream. It was my second year in a row and I hope to make it an annual trip, family permitting.
