I noticed on TdF Stage 1 the status updates on the Cyclingnews App were 10-15 min behind the live tracker on the website. The map location was similar. What is the cause of the data delay?

There were some server issues (out of our hands) late on Friday night and they had an effect on the tracker for the first stage. The team behind the project (Allan is his name) has been working hard to remedy the situation.
