Not only the total space taken up by ads but the constant flashing advertising is making cyclingnews almost unreadable.

+1. It can't be a good sign if cycle kit specific adverts are being replaced with 'you're a lucky winner' type ads. I'm spending less and less time browsing this site these days.

Come on cyclingnews. Sort it out. Please.

This is in the wrong sub-forum.

But also re: the topic, I disagree, it's not that hard to read at all for me. Could care less about all the adverts. My life is full of extraneous distractions, CN is not that challenging to read. It's also free.

Closing this briefly.... now moved to the appropriate section and re-opened.

I don't get any pop-ups on this site and the ads on the right hand column change after several seconds. I don't find this site distracting at all.

How ironic. The thread was annoying so it got moved. I bet the guy starting the thread would like to move the ads.

To the OP. Install Adblock and firefox and kiss goodbye to annoying ads.

Or use the Opera browser to disable Flash, animated images and inline frames for the site.

+1 The new format is very distracting, makes the useful space smaller and I keep accidentally clicking on ads which slow down my computer. I'm not going to continue reading this site if it stays like this.
