BroDeal said:I think there is a bug in the site that shows up very infrequently. You get an error message that makes it look like the whole site is down, not only for the forums but also the main site. Clear your browser's cyclingnews cookies and the problem goes away.
agaler said:There's no reported down time for the site. It is monitored from all around the world to make sure if it is up.
In the first instance you should contact your ISP as we cannot see into their network to find out why things are not working for you.

BroDeal said:The site does not go down. You get diverted to an error page that is white with no styling and some simple text on it. I wish I had a screen shot. If it happens to anyone then they should take one.
It is not an ISP issue because I have had it happen with different ISPs. I theorize that it is an issue with a cookie getting munged somehow and your end kicking the user over to an error page that makes it appear that the site is down. I think this because the last time it happened I specifically deleted all the cyclingnews cookies, and as soon as I did so I could access the site. I had no problems accessing other websites while I was having issues with cyclingnews.
Truth be told, many months ago I spent many days thinking that CN was down. It was only when I brought the site up with a different computer that I realized that it was not.
JayZee said:Happened again today. Deleting cyclingnews cookies and restarting browser seemed to fix it. The funny thing is that when I have looked before I am not showing any cyclingnews cookies.
I have gone a day or so thinking cyclingnews is down as well. I just figured Armstrong had had enough with the doping forum and nuked its headquarters.
