And he was very much un-Pauwels like! This is the first time I've seen him so active in a race. He has the charisma of a(n) *insert something witty here*, but I still kinda like him. Still an Albert fan though, so last 2 weeks have been some what annoying to say the least.

Pauwels was the Leipheimer of cyclocross last year :D

i like him to. he is shy.

I think he could have a very good season.

Vintage Kevin Pauwels.

The French like to see him as a wheelsucker. Sour grapes from the lost bronze medal, last year.

Truth is, when he is on, he's always aggressive. When not, he isn't.

Not a Kev fan myself though it partly has to do with his cringeworthy interviews! Seems to go well on drier, fast courses. When the mud comes, it'll be more vintage Niels vs Sven. Even Zdenek isn't great in the deep stuff.

Stayed off uni to watch Koppenbergcross today :p

It's a "Sunday" in Belgium, so didn't even have to skip Uni for it :D

At least I don't think I have classes today. Meh, who cares

Nearly forgot it was cross today though, glad I remembered. I hope Niels wins, but it will most likely be Nys again. Wouldn't mind a first big victory of Styby either.

I'd say drier and fast courses suit Niels Albert best normally. He's not the best technical skilled crosser, but still one of the best of course. Especially in the sand.

Just watched the koppenbergcross having never watched a race before, so hoped that the more knowledgeable forum members could answer some questions?

Was todays course unusual in that there was no running/steps etc?
What is the difference between Superprestige, GvA and the World Cup?
Is there much teamwork in a race normally (like on the road) or is it every man for himself?
Finally, does the ladies cx season mirror the mens exactly?

Thanks in advance (and apologies if this is lightly off topic)!
