Shame something like ruins what could have been a long successful career :(

Umm, he's just stood down whilst the police investigation is undertaken.

He will probably miss the Nationals (Road & Track) in January & February, which may flow on to the World Champs. If he is convicted of a serious crime he might miss out on London under the Nick Darcy rule, which would be a blow to the TP lineup.

Hardly career ending though, let's not speculate on the outcome of the investigation.

yes lets not go crazy here. You'll have at least a few AFL footballers do worse things next year and simply get a slap on the wrist and then be able to compete straight away back into their clubs.

Honestly i'm glad he's been suspended because hopefully people will realise that they can't get away with things like this because they are a sports star.

I hope the kid in hospital recovers quickly though.

"It's not an error of judgement, this is a snap decision to drive home while under the influence and he will pay a huge price for it," said Cycling SA's executive Max Stevens, according to ABC News.

My "let's not go crazy" comment was about him not riding ever again. That was a stupid statement on your behalf.

Quite sad too, especially since the guy injured was a mate. Its really YAM (Young Aussie Male) culture though, its not ever going to stop.

Daotec, no idea what you are going on about with those selective quotes.

Any news on whether Trek-Livestrong has cancelled his contract for next season?
