And yet you could consider it the queen stage if you wanted to be contrarian.

John Degenkolb makes his comeback (as well as Nikias Arndt after an even longer break) and there are a lot of climbers using this race for training and/or part of their farewell tour or something.

Smashing time by Wærenskjold. Good chance Zijlaard loses his 100% trackrecord of top-5s in prologues since joining Tudor in 2023 today (he's done six before today).

Don't know why they were talking up Brennan, didn't do anything in Romandie, these weird prologues seem to be very specialised. Sam Watson should do well though.

Good to see the organisers completely forget about the 'race being a tourism advert' aspect of cycling and just having the prologue around a dodgy looking industrial plant with some gas works
How many prologues have been held at a world heritage site like today‘s?
