Disappointed with recent updates...

Visit site
I visit the site at least once a day - often much more often - and I've to say that of recent times you've dropped the ball somewhat. I've finally got used to the new website (still don't think it is as functional as the old one), but your updates are dropping off. No where near as frequent as times past. For example: your coverage of the Junior World Track Championships was abysmal. Day 4 coverage still isn't up to date and there is nothing there for Day 5. Not sure if you've cut back your resources or just focused them on other areas (be good to know where?), but the site started as the destination to come and get up to date cycling results and news (as the UCI didn't do a very good job) and you're just not doing that now. It is becoming irrelevant - I get most of the results I want from other sites now.

Agree About Updates

I thought that Velo News over the last 12 months had been dropping the ball regarding coverage of Pro Road Cycling. Most of the articles were short and lacked substance and originality. In 2008, CyclingNews was far and away the best Pro Cycling website. The coverage was broad and the racing summaries were detailed and interesting to read.

The funny thing is, recently the situation has reversed. I thought that VeloNews coverage of this year's Tour De France was much superior and more detailed. I found the stage by stage summaries by CyclingNews, dull and too short. Too many articles about Armstrong and infighting and not enough about the actual race itself. I have to admit, I only visit this site now for team changes and the forum and a quick check of the race results. Most of the race articles are not worth reading when newspapers and other sites are doing just as good a job if not better. You would think that a specialist site would have superior content. I think the new layout makes less sense than the old one as well and you find that the updates include articles that are found elsewhere on the site. I am hoping that the Vuelta coverage will be an improvement as it looks like it could be an interesting race this year.
