Wut?It’s banned by WADA, so it is doping. It could have also been used as a masking agent.

Yeah, probably too much conspiracy theory on my part. We assume that “silent bans” might exist where athletes avoid competitions for long stretches claiming injury, that this could have been a not-so-silent silent banWho would be willing to cover for her though? I know Nike was totally behind her and even made a commercial hyping her up, but then she totally blew it...
She is a very polarizing person/athlete though, I'll give her that.
I’ve never understood the concept of silent bans. Is the idea that they’re obligated to hand down a ban but don’t have to divulge it legally? If not then why even bother with a ban if it’s all under the table anyway?Yeah, probably too much conspiracy theory on my part. I’ve heard them talked about (mostly here in the clinic) in regard to tennis. But tennis organizations seem to acknowledge it’s been a thing:I’ve never understood the concept of silent bans. So random speculation not backed up by any evidence or understanding then? Glad we can clear that up.Wut you read

It's a particularly advanced form of masking agent KB. The idea is you smoke some weed, forget to take your PEDs, the DCOs call round and test you and there's nothing there for them to find. Except the THC. But! And this is the super clever bit! When news of that gets out everyone thinks you're ok and no one thinks you're taking PEDs. Or being coached by Dennis Mitchell.
Today's dopers are so clever that only the Clinic can see through them.
Tailwind is an issue on 100 m dash, not really on 200 m (1/2 lap)Jackson really close to FloJo's 200m WR with zero tailwind. Thomas jaw dropping reaction afterwards was spot on.

FloJo (10.49 is actually invalid on 100 dash)
Yeah, the influence of wind in a 200m race seems a point that isn't clear cut, people often debate about it.Tailiwind limit is set in the rules for distances up to 200 meters though
Rule 31.14.3
Is it the track and the shoes - or is it a little bit of something extra that wouldn't be considered legal?Nice little sub 3:44 run from Ingebritsen and Nuguse
And another one, over 2 mins off the female marathon world record.
This Berlin Marathon has always been the dirtiest event in the world. No need to be harsh on the poor African girl, she is clearly just a pawn for the corrupt German organisers and sponsors. Adidas certainly sells a lot of 500 euro shoes after this world record...
There's no question that time is ridiculous, but there's also no question that the poor African girl didn't develop some secret juicy on her own that made her a world-beater. The struggling Adidas company, making terrible running shoes that no one buys, now they're launching a new 500 euro shoe in which she's running a world record. It's not hard to put together the puzzle of who is the dirty here...Just like in cycling, dead-flat course and moderate weather are important factors for high speed. But this performance is even beyond Berlin performances. It's been a ridiculous progress by this girl.
Wow, 7 of 8 sprinters who qualified for the 100 final dropped out before the race. So suspicious that now they will get those 7 tested (don’t know when/how though).https://www.reuters.com/sports/athl...oping-officials-arrive-delhi-meet-2023-09-27/
