I will say Renshaw will win. I think he looks to have quite good speed, he has the best positioning and will have Matthews lead him out.
Goss may not be in great form, though thats' what most of us said before the WC.

I'm sad that i am not arriving till the 16th

Not that I really care but bored - do we need separate threads for the TDU ?

The 5-6 Australian posters who post on race day thread will have to do a massive amount of work?

We have done so every other year and I don't really mind making the threads. It is a World Tour event so I think that means we should make separate stage threads.

If you are really unhappy about a thread being made then go take the issue with one of the mods but if you don't have anything to post about the race then go away.

I think it's a good idea, the sign that the season is slowly starting.

I'm going for either cj Sutton or griepel

You'd think so but people need to feel like their special. :D

Can't go past a sprinter for this on obviously, don't think Goss has the form he had at this time last year (which may be intentional). Griepel/Henderson or Renshaw will be my favourite. Cam Meyer is the crit specialist for GE iirc.

Only if you want? We won't be forcing anyone to read it though.

Anyway.. Back to normal programming... Renshaw FTW.

7pm Adelaide time is going to be 8.30am GMT, I'm just glad I'm out the door training at 8 on a Sunday else I'd feel compelled to watch this. It'll all be over when I get back, phew.

Does this use the same start list as the TDU?

As far as I'm aware, it always has in the past.

It's never really been an issue before, as there hasn't been a team with spare riders available who would want to swap riders in and out of the team for this crit and the TDU.

GreenEdge might theoretically be in a position to swap in riders this year, but I doubt they'll do so.

Never question the prestige, importance and relevance of the Australian cycling season.

It's much easier to watch the first day for novelty value, remember it's crap and then let the local upside downers work themselves in to a lather over it.
