Ear emergency!

Does anybody know what brand of tape is being used to secure headset \ earpiece in bike racing?. I have been wearing earbuds( sports type guaranteed not to fall out! right) and I would like to see if some tape will solve my problem, same issue with motorcycle helmet. They stay in for a little while but when my and Mellon sized skull get sweating they tend to fall out.
Maybe I will get an ear hair removal treatment as a bonus

If you must....and want to avoid looking like a tool with tape over your ears......upgrade your "Buds" to a proper set of IEM's (In Ear Monitors) that fit into the actual ear canal rather than rest on the outer.....plus, the sound quality will be superior in every way

I wouldn't recommend in ears. Those are more sound cancelling which is even more dangerous.

I don't ride a bike or motorbike with anything in my ears. I want to hear what is going on around me. I dont get why people put themselves at such risk.

A suggestion..use only one..being deaf while riding is dangerous, IMHO. BUT surgical tape..

I use bluetooth wraparounds, specifically, Moto S305s. They are fairly cheap and tried enough the first ones I bought came in a MotoRockr-branded (the iTunes phone) case. They do a great job of keeping wind noise out and all other external sound flowing in. I actually turn the off but leave them on as ear muffs on cold descents. Monitors I would heavily recommend against.

After trying all types of silicone supports, I used surgical tape on my earbuds for a few days while I replaced my earlier pair of Motos (after 6 years of use in all types of weather). Only way I could get them to stay on. Have also read good things about Aftershocks, I'm going to try those out at some point.

I used a monural ear bud in my right ear so I could hear the traffic on my left. I would not advise stereo.
or you could duct tape a boombox to your handlebars

Medical tape. The difference between any bud that plugs your ear canal and one that does not is the possible ability to hear things around you too.
I do like to listen to music when I ride alone. Simple open ear buds with the volume set low. I want to hear outside my head. I am not looking for fidelity or to zone out. Look at motorcycle forums and ear plugs are recommended while music is discouraged.
VOLUME Set it low. Use a headphone that lets you hear through it.

Riding with earbuds is illegal in some jurisdictions. Be sure to check the laws in your area before making yourself deaf and playing in traffic.
