Boasson won't race G-W? He isn't on the list right now according to teamsky. (Kurt-Asle Arvesen, Juan Antonio Flecha, Mathew Hayman, Greg Henderson, Jeremy Hunt, Ian Stannard, Chris Sutton, Geraint Thomas)

Anybody with info? I know he pulled out of Dwars door Vlaanderen at short notice, but GW?

why is a thread needed on such a minute issue?

Whereas the thread "Official 2011 Cricket World Cup Thread", where you posted, is giant news????
Get over it! The 2009 winner of GW pulling out of the 2011 instalment at short notice is interesting for some. It hasn't been reported in the news in Norway yet, so I was merely wondering if Dim or anybody else had any info.

Geraint has replaced him. Thomas is in absolutely storming form, EBH has a niggling injury. Makes perfect sense to put G in.

Who replaces him is irrelevant though it's good to take advantage of Thomas good form. The worrying thing is that he is injured again.

But no Boonen (team orders), no Gilbert, ... at E3 :(
No Pozzato either, but without Boonen and Gilbert he would probably be too confused to race ;)

Well, Sky has Geraint now. EBH could go back to HTC next year.

Bruyneel said yesterday EBH would be his pick if he could have any rider so perhaps RadioShack would be a better fit

E3 is so much more interesting than GW, but now all top riders are forced by team DS' to ride GW because there are world tour points

thanks for ruining E3 Prijs UCI; Good job.

yeah E3 > GW easy.
I hate that races like this get under appreciated due to no world status.

Stupid worldtour ranking system ensures class riders pulling out of a great race in other words.

Shouldnt be too surprised because the points system is a shambles, A 3 year old kid could devise a better system.

Why is there a thread about EBH for Gent-Wevelgem, but no thread about G-W itself, although it's already in three days?

Do you have a source for this? EBH joining Radioshack would be tragic, although (or because) Bruyneel probably would've tried and possibly succeeded to turn him into a GC rider...

It was in the JB live webchat with Fat cyclist. JB was asked which one rider would he love to have in his team. He said EBH.

Whatever answer he'd given it would no doubt be cause for speculation. But its like Riis saying Rider x is a great rider, or Brailsford or Vaughters saying rider Y is a great rider. Doesnt mean anything.
