Thanks for the news about San Juan. Nice to get the cycling fix a bit earlier than usual.

Jose Been is leaving Eurosport after they offered her a reduced roster. Have only heard her a couple of times commenting on women's races in the UK and she seemed pretty good. I suppose The Netherlands isn't short of expert commentators though?
She wasn't quite popular with the flemish viewers, who Eurosport is targetting by buying the exclusive rights to races like the Giro. Her thick accent was rather annoying for flemish viewers.

In the English-speaking world, Sean Kelly's accent can only be described as 'thick' and while I've tuned my ear to it over the years, it must be difficult for the more casual listener.

A shame, I always enjoyed her commentary although she gets a little too enthusiastic at times, but I can relate.

Eurosport will have brief highlights of the TDU in the UK every day, the time is variable.Likely to be the host broadcaster package with Liggett. 6pm for stage one on Wednesday night.

Is it being shown live by anybody?

Depends where you are not in UK, just highlights.
If you're in Europe it on Global cycling network, allegedly.

And in certain European countries their own home channels live as well, France L' Equipe for example

The YouTube channel? Really? And if so, I wonder if Ireland is considered U.K. or Europe for rights purposes. Irish and U.K. broadcast rights are often sold together.

The down under classic is on highlights tonight at 6.15 and the TDU on from Tuesday at 6.15. Suppose they have to show that other sport live, the one with a bat and ball. :D

And it is, as ever, the most mis-named event of the season! A crit around Adelaide's city centre. Will probably watch anyway, such is the hunger for a bit of cycling!

Or not: combined ski-ing overran the first 15 minutes of scheduled broadcast, and now they are showing some snooker from 4 years ago as filler before live snooker: no update to the EPG as to when and if the cycling will be on, and of course they don't have channel announcers to explain between programmes.

Ho hum.

This is really, really annoying. Has anyone managed to watch Eurosport coverage yet. They seem to be putting every other sport on. I'm going to record the 23.20 alleged coverage in the hope they have run out of other sports by then!
Seen the last kilometre on a video coverage and know that probably was the most exciting part but want to see the build up and what form the riders are in. Grr

on the TDU website it says that GCN will cover it live online, yes, but Dan Lloyd said on Twitter that this is not true

so better watch out for a l'Équipe21 or a Ziggo Sport stream

Supposedly, San Juan live on Eurosport 2
Like they gave daily highlights of TDU?

Different employing your own commenatators to do a race than to buy in the Aussie international production of TDU (which seems to have been shown stages 3-, on Player anyway).

San Juan in the schedule at 9.30pm on ES2 from Sun night.

Herald Sun and Cadel also in there too at various points.
