That maybe so, but it is still an important big race and they seem to just not care about it as much.Perhaps there is more viewing interest in races with cobbles.
Maybe it's to do with the women riding first and coverage of the men to start after the women's race is over? Then you'll want to get to the live pictures asap. That maybe so, but it is still an important big race and they seem to just not care about it as much.
I don't watch the pre show and often just have the post race analysis as background noise rather than just watching it, but I do find it strange that Eurosport/GCN never have a live studio show for Liege (or Lombardy for that matter) considering it is categorised as a monument, while other 'smaller' races like Omloop and Strade do have one.
It would make sense in some situations, but here the live coverage of the mens doesn't seem to start until after the women's race finishes.Maybe it's to do with the women riding first and coverage of the men to start after the women's race is over? Then you'll want to get to the live pictures asap.
Gradually going downhill then.I believe CK is working for the host broadcaster at Romandie so those of us in the nay camp and watching via GCN can enjoy a week off.
It looks like the grand tours will follow the same pattern as last year with Hatch leading for the Giro supported by Dan Lloyd, CK and Hatch sharing the Tour then CK main man at the Vuelta without Hatch.
Commentator says that he doesn't now whether riders tied for first on GC will be determined by countback of finishing positions or by fractions of seconds from the time trial. Well you bloody well ought to know: it is your job to know, it is a fundamental in the rules of the sport without being subject to change by the race organisers, and as a commentator you should be informing the viewer, not declaring your culpable ignorance to them.
Matt Stephens stringing together, "Interestingly, Incredibly, normally, perpetually, mostly," has to be a record for the number of adverbs used in a row during commentary!
No, it doesn't! I reckon the producer at eurosport accidently pressed a wrong button and Dictionary.com appeared on the screen immediately after seeing Bob Jungels.Doesn't sound like the most eloquently structurally correctly spoken sentence, however.
I'll be yet ever so slightly bound to the Jaws music with Simon ClarkeYet ever so slightly.
Yep, I was listening to the 'international feed' from Romandie today and was blessed with the dulcet tones of CK. He did mention he was currently unemployed for the Giro weeks and urged his fans to write to their host broadcasters... so perhaps things could still change.I believe CK is working for the host broadcaster at Romandie so those of us in the nay camp and watching via GCN can enjoy a week off.

And someone needs to have a word with Stephens about the different between the letter J in Spanish and Central/Eastern European accents. Constant reference to Harold Teyada today made me almost wish that Hatch was commentating. But only almost. And every time Nicolas Roche pronouncing Majka, makes me cringe very deep. But how beautiful is his French as he slips in to it sometimes.
So who will be doing the Giro?

D, d, d, did he s,s,s say it while stumbling over his words? He is very good friends with Rafa so one imagines he is pronouncing it as Rafa does in Polish ??
I had to laugh when he kept calling Joel Suter , Joel Stutter ...Shades of English Cycling Expert that
I believe commentary is Hatch and Lloyd. The usual I suppose = Rob Hatch, Adam Blyth, Dan Llyod, Robbie McEwan
Rowe gave birth four weeks ago, so I assume she's on maternity leave. What's happened to Dani Rowe? Through the classics it was mostly Dani Christmas and Joanna Rowsell is alongside Marty Macdonald for La Vuelta.
