Yes, I've watched it a couple of times in the last few years and that could only have been on Eurosport. Maybe not since Covid though as my work schedule changed.

you're right, I checked again, and it indeed was live on Eurosport as long as PMG Sport was the rightholder. I must have mistaken it with something else.

So with the likes of Jose Been, Jens Dekker, and to a lesser extent (possibly) Magnus Backstedt doing commentary this year on British Eurosport/GCN, as well as Nicolas Roche doing something with french television during the TdF, it got me thinking. What/Are there any other cycling commentators (main or co) that have done so in a language that isn't their native language?

Though, by the looks of it, he just went to one race. Part way through said "*** this!" and went home.
For all I know he's been an accountant since then.

Well, the question was about people commentating in a language other than their own, so why would he be particularily surprised about Honore commentating in a language other than his own?

Yeah, what a mystery. So many 25-year-olds do commentary in a country that neither he nor his team is from...

To be fair, I was gonna ask if there were other Honores, but then I went to double check if there was.

You don't understand why I was a little confused that someone could be confused about which Honoré we're talking about? We have established that he's basically the only Honoré - except for some Belgian guy, who turned up to one race, which he didn't even finish years ago - in the peloton.

It's not much he's doing. Just when he's not otherwise occupied. Guess he is at a somewhat higher level than other "commentates while still active" riders have been.

South Tipperary was not in his lifetime a Gaeltacht area, so the answer is not Irish, but every time I hear Sean Kelly commentate I wonder what language he thinks in.
