Why are you posting this in the Clinic? None of the posters in here actually watch cycling. They just look at the results to see who to accuse of doping.

Not bad most of the time, and is better than nothing. Sometimes though during a race I have lost the link. As I am often on the CN forum when I'm watching the race on Eurosport I know it is not a problem with my computer or local connection because others around the globe have lost their links as well at the same time. OFC we all complain about it in the forum and ask if anyone else has a live link.

If I recall correctly, in the U.S. we don't get Eurosport but there is some plugin you have to download to get the broadcasts. Did that and no problems since.

There is a plug-in? would it be possible to send a link? I have been using fromsport.com, but it doesn't always work so well, and I'm afraid of getting spam from that site.

Well, I'm afraid I may not be able to find the download, since I already have it. But here's the good news. Just try a Eurosport link to see if you get a message (like I did at first) that Eurosport is not available in your region (USA for me). Eventually, after the second or third attempt, I finally got a pop-up asking if I wanted to download and install some Eurosport plugin (or maybe it was a link for the Eurosport plugin). It looked legitimate, and I was not too concerned because I have internet security and antivirus protection to the gills so to speak. After installing the software, bingo, I get any Eurosport event without problem... other than connection losses from time to time.

The way I got to the download was through http://www.steephill.tv/ where I selected the event I wanted to watch, then selected the live coverage options. If it was the Giro, or any race for that matter, there would be a long list of live coverage options (like sporza, Europort in several languages, rai, etc). Then I just selected one of the Eurosport options. That was all.

I'm a PC and use Internet Exploder 8 for my browser. The Eurosport live video feeds play in IE, so it must be an IE plugin.

If you are in Europe, it's the cheapest way to get Eurosport. You just need a good internet connection, link ur pc to ur big screen and enjoy.

I have used it in the past, but now just use cyclingfans and steephill to find free streams via the int. sometimes half the fun is finding a new stream when yours stops and listening to different languages

Yeah i do that too, especially that Eurosport doesn't broadcast all races. But I like eurosport too because i watch other sports than cycling, especially winter sports.

I was wondering. If i sign up for Eurosport player in the UK do i have to listen to clueless kirby or will i have the option of choosing different languages?

I'm pretty sure you get Kirby! I'm from England have a subscription and currently travelling Europe. Today it gave me British Eurosport (I'm in Greece) but when I was in Spain it gave me the option of both. Go figure!

ES is well worth it. Hate to juggle with the streams, getting bad streams, obscure languages and a sh!tload of spam. Here in Lux got the choice between german and french broadcasting, french being really good, but they lost some rights to Bein Sport, oh well.

Got mine through the itunes app store. Never tried the pc variant

Other than the awful eyesight of the commentators and the even worse tv listings, it is well worth it.

Not available here in Australia :(

I'd honestly rather listen to P&P than Kirby. At least the former can be funny.

Hi everyone

One other bonus of ES player is that you can watch the highlights programmes in the evening if you didn't watch the race live. Yesterday, for example, they showed 1 hour highlights of Catalunya three times in the evening (at 6.30, 9.00 and 11.30 pm).

Plus you often get to hear Sean Kelly making up words and phrases like 'flews' and 'time bonufication', and creating riders like Cavendish's Russian lead out man, 'Renchev'.
