You seem to be pretty obsessed with this. If Roglic happens to win the Giro after maybe being slightly underrated, all the sweeter, right? Roglic is doing surprisingly well, so far. He's really far ahead of schedule. Let the Evenepoel fans keep underrating him.

There is however the risk that he hasn't been able to build up a solid enough base for the Giro. He hasn't had a normal winter, which could come back to hurt him in May.

It just looks like you are looking for stuff to be outraged about. Hardly anyone is saying Roglic is washed up. Perhaps some criticism that he rides too boring/defensively but that's about it.

This is debatable. During the off season this was what i would say the predominant stance. On the social media. But i agree that if you subject yourself to the mob then it's your fault too.

Found the problem.

Although I think the rumors from inside Jumbo were about low expectations for Roglic the first part of the season until he improved rapidly and started Tirreno. So that might have played a role as well.

Remco did everything in his power to came to this race prepared. And so far he has show much. That is something to commend. The field is pushing Roglič to be at his best. But in the end Roglič must focus on himself.

Still in this day and age social media is having a profound impact on our lives. Hence getting canceled on social media is something you will need to tackle. Being a public persona. Such as Roglič is. Roglič in my opinion managed to address the mob appropriately. Achievement similar as to winning a stage at the Tour.

Personally i am proud of Rogla as he was prepared to sacrifice his stomp for achieving the greater goal. As throwing in half a bike of an advantage is in the end more then enough. That should keep him fresh at the end of his second GT. Shows just how open minded he is and on how he is prepared to adapt to the circumstances.

As for the Catalunya. After initial pressure from Remco i feel that Rogla might throw in a jab or two in stages to come. Stage three is a nice candidate
but not at all costs. We'll see.

The Trek fella at 3rd..... Although history shows he has his weak moments this is a one week, not 3 week escapade so weird sh*t can happen. If he attacks and gets a gap, which of the other contenders reacts first?

Yes. On stages 1-3 of the Volta so far, Rog is 1st, 2nd, and 2nd. Not terrible form. Still in the building phase prior to the Giro.

Great duel so far. I think it's cool to see Catalunya this year turn into a GC hot spot for two of the best riders in the world, i.e. the organizers must be ecstatic.

It's the ultimate mind game, i.e. let Remco Evenepoel believe he can drop him after pulling in front so he'll repeat the same tactic in the Giro... then BAM, Roglstomp.
