Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people".

Full quote is better, and shows what he actually meant by it ;)

(not trying to be a duche, but the quote is put in the wrong context so many times that we need to set it straight.)
