I want to see the first cut of Alex Gibney's Armstrong documentary. The one before he re-cut it to save face.
This is the true feature film documentary, and gives one an authentic insight into the fiction fantasy and duplicity of cycling.
as an epigraph, show the Winfrey interview, thats a good prologue.
Then lead into the real business of lying to and fleecing the public. Gibney was quite alright with this, until Armstrong was backed into the corner and confessed, then Gibney did his own version of saving professional credibility. But Gibney still has no credibility imo, he already sold out.
So the meta truth, the more truthful documentary is actually the first cut (the lies) which demonstrated Armstrong's apotheosis iteration deux.
the first cut of lies is the real truth, the more deceitful film is the second cut, the Armstrong Lie(official iteration), this official version that got the cinema release is a meta lie, it is a lie upon a lie.
To be truthful, Gibney needed to say how he was going along for the ride for the first "doco" when he always knew Armstrong was on rocket fuel the first time, and no chance he was not on the same rocket fuel this second time around.
