Brodeal had a thread on it in The Clinic, but on the 2nd, Landis will make his debut at the Powernet Tour of Southland. Landis will ride for Cyclingnzshop.com-Bio Sport, I guess racing for beer and a couch to sleep on realy does work. If he can handle the strong cross winds then he will be fine. The race will get a lot more attention then what it would since it has a former Tour de France winner on the start list, sorry "former" Tour de France winner.

Start list

Massive lol at no. 80 Jack Bauer. I bet nobody believes him when he says who he is.

It makes me sad to have seen him fall so far, but I hope he pulls it together and starts to have a life again. GO FLOYD

Hmmm, while i guess it is a bit depressing it is his fault for sinking his personal fortune (as well as begging others to contribute to his 'legal defense fund') into litigation while all the time being guilty as sin.

I have very little sympathy.

Tour of Southland is a tough race, very strong winds, freezing cold and wet (sometimes). I'll be interested to se how he does on his current form I doubt he'll finish strong but I think its great that he is boosting the profile of a good race.

I'm barracking for the Powernet team, got a couple of mates riding for it!

Though I commented, but may have not.

I was a fan of Floyd's before his USADA hearing where his, and especially his legal team and manager's behavior really soured me. Whatever happens in 2010, whomever he rides for, I guess I can only say I hope he gets his life in order, and rides clean.

He takes the hit for hiring clowns. It's a pity but that's the way it goes.

1. Life in order.
2. Rides Clean.

In that order.

Well if you can only identify three professionals in the start list then you don't follow cycling very closely.

Actually I'll change my mind to stupid on this one . What you said makes perfect sense - or should have. Apologies.

Floyd didn't just hire clowns, his note to Lemond, and sucking money from common people for his defense fund were deplorable on his own. Of course, this was topped by his "team" I suppose. Ugh. He definitely hired fools, who took others for being greater fools. As an aside, I always wondered why Floyd didn't use the "cortisone shots for my hip must have caused this test result" defense. I mean, medically it wouldn't have flown, but over time he would have gotten a lot more sympathy than his "the lab framed me" defense. Sorry, I digress.

The "pro" comment was obviously a joke. I gathered to imply how far Floyd had fallen. If he comes in 10 minutes down, it will mean he's not only clean, not only out of shape, but hungover.

or he just got caught out of position in the kiwi crosswinds and had no chance so called it a day.

I wouldn't read too much into the results..anything can happen.

True, I suppose. In the 2009 Vuelta a Mexico, Floyd was about 1:30 down on one mountain stage, and lost something like 20 minutes on the next.

Also, Floyd's favorite weather is hot sun, and it doesn't look like that's the kind of weather forecast. Though of course, the weather's the same for everyone.

Interesting how much attention he's getting for this race all of a sudden! We must be bored! LOL!

Isn't Lance meant to twitter like a little girl again, or rather have his twin girls do his twittering for him? Still another 2 months before the Lance circus hits Adelaide.
