I like the SL1. Fuji doesn't carry an exotic name or look, but they are totally capable bikes. I ride a Team with ultegra and Ksyrium SL wheels. Prior to buying that, I demoed a SL1 with full dura-ace. It was an awesome bike, just too rich for my blood.

2009 Fuji SL1 ....... Good bad or ugly ??? Anyone.

I had one, first carbon race bike...I liked it, heck, even miss it sometimes. It wasn't a poor bike by any stretch. Another vote in the "go for it" category.

don't know about where the SL fits in Fuji's product line compared to ST3, but I demo'd (actually just rented with no intent to buy) an ST3 for a week. Really liked it. Responsive, good power transfer, comfortable. If I was looking for a carbon bike I'd definately not rule it out.

I haven't had any structural issues with mine. I did have a small aesthetic issue with the paint, but got over that; it's hardly noticeable to anyone but me. It looks like they just missed a spot. I wondered if it was structural and took it to the dealer. He laughed at me , but it was brand new and I was concerned. It's been a great bike. They have lifetime warranties, but I think you have to go through the dealer for it to qualify. You said second hand, so do you know how it was ridden before? Racer, club rider, etc?

No, sadly I dont know how it was ridden....... hence why i am in this quandry !

I know pictures can be decieving but looks like in good condition and am able to get a mate to look at it for me if i am keen ( bike is in Sydney an I am in South Australia)

Also ... C10 carbon .... struturally where does this sit in the scheme of carbons .. i.e. built for weight for racers then throw away if cracked or bit stronger for longevity ?
