Funvic Soul Cycles & Carrefour bringing fun to cycling

So the most awesome news of the year just got out Carrefour Funvic will turn Pro Continental in 2016 http://ciclismojoseense.com/2015/11/funvic-soul-cycles-carrefour-conquista-a-licenca-pro-continental-para-2016/ of course they deserve a thread right away as it is the coolest team around.

It also means South America will still have a team in the pro ranks now that Colombia is out. I have no idea what their race calender will look like and if they will come regularly to Europe to race, but I surely do hope so! Dani Diaz will no longer be with the team but there should be plenty to cheer for with Diniz one of the most aggresive riders in the peloton as their leader!

We've had a ProConti team from Brazil before. They rode exactly zero races in Europe. And were broke in the middle of the season.

Ye but Funvic should have good funds they are a pretty rich team, however I m not sure if they will ride (regularly) in Europe, I think they 'll be mainly in South America + in some Asian races (hope I am wrong though).

They could race a few races in Italy or Spain, having the Olympic Games in Brazil could help them.
Come on RCS, invite them to the Giro, I want to see Diniz, Kleber Ramos and Flavio Cardoso in Italy
They could always get invited to the Volta.

Untrue. They rode one race, the Tour of Turkey
I remember hoping Nilceu Santos could reach the stage finish with the peloton at least once, to gauge his speed against the european sprinters, but he got dropped on any speedbump.

Volta with Marseille (Diaz + Delio Fernandez) vs Funvic (Diniz + Kleber + they should just get Rujano for the fun of it!) vs Etafel (Brandao + Marque) vs Radio popular (Souda + Silva) vs W52 (Veloso + Carvalho) vs LA Aluminios (Let Pinto return!) and just like this years Volta all live on TV how good would that be!
