Hey, with Pogacar doing His Thing

What do U think, could the GC Winners of old give the Classic Guys a Run for their Money If they tried.

Armstrong
I guess with a good Peak, winning, Liege, Flandern and Lombard could be possible.

Ullrich
With His talent, could He have won every Race? If they shape would be there, WHO knows.

Pantani
Well Liege and Lombard, in Giro98/99 Form , He could have give IT a try.

Evans
He Had Potential ...

Contador
Same as pantani

Froome
See above

Nibali
For me, a clear Cut Favorite for the 5 Monument Guy, the way He Rode 2015 Tour Stage, even PRBwas possible If He tried offen enough. Sadly, GT where his Focus ..

Valverde
Doubt PRB, but Flandern He would have been among the best.

More thoughts :)

Don't see how Ullrich has a chance at MSR, Roubaix is a far shot, depending how comfortable he was on cobbles (maybe actually decent given that he grew up in the GDR).
Sort of agree on the others but in plenty of cases it really comes with a lot of ifs.
Good old Vino should've done more, he was such a good all-rounder.

Armstrong was twice 2nd in Liège, in 94 and 96. He never rode Lombardia for some reason, probably because he rarely raced in autumn during his top years. He was never really competitive in Flanders. In 2005 he had a young Tom Boonen as babysitter, but still didn't make it into top 20. He did come close to winning Amstel, coming 2nd in both 1999 and 2001.
