I'm beginning to suspect that I shouldn't have put De Lie in my Zweeler team.

I mean not gonna lie, why would you ever do that lmao. He's been *** all year and then there was the poo illness. No way he was gonna be good here. Only reason they probably let him take the start cause all their subs were also sick

It's a humiliation ritual tho

i think he will

rest day should help a lot

Also because stage 6 finish should suit him and he probably prays he gets better by then. I doubt it, but there's also no reason not to try. He was gonna leave a few days after anyways.

I think Albania has more visually stunning geography than Bulgaria as a whole, its just they didnt ride any of the stages through any of it. Whilst this part of Bulgaria is making some of the East German industrial heartland look appealing. oh look an unfinished concrete bridge, some rusty train lines, yeah stunning scenery.

Lol, you must have failed some geography classes in school. Bulgaria has one of the finest nature scenery and geographical diversity in whole of Europe. Just watch practically any tourist vlog type video there is on Youtube.

I don't think even RCS had hoped for so much local interest. Looks like every small town has made a great effort to decorate and show support. Definitely the crowds are bigger than on your average nothing happening sprint stage in Italy.

I honestly doubt he survives that unless he gets significantly better during the rest day, but at this point you're already here so there's no reason to not give it a go. If you still feel really bad in these stages you can still pull out, cause then he also won't have the legs to do a good sprint on Thursday anwyays.

He was very cheap for a sprinter. I had assumed he could at least contest a few sprints. Plus you get a reserve to take his place when he drops out.

De Lie also has a couple of stages that suit him in the second week but there's no chances he's getting that far, right? If he suddenly feels better it might be worth getting to Stage 13

Disappointed with the helicopter tv coverage of the first stages, no excuses today re clouds or fog. Rila mountain (where Borovetz ski resort is located) is stunning, barely any footage.

Pellizzari takes a page out of Visma's playbook and has positioned himself at the very back of the bunch.
