Also my thought. First climb you try to follow as long as you can. You never know how long it will last if you never try. Thought he would lose more time when Gall passed him but still finished 4th. Next mountains he’ll probably also start to pace himself. And with Gall close to Vingo he can let him do the work and focus on 2nd spot for GC.Right decision trying to follow today. Yeah, he blew himself up but in windy conditions like that draft is important so it can be worth gambling to overextend in order to hope the quicker rider (in his case Vingegaard) will slow down eventually.
Yeah, he lost a minute to Gall but he can get that back in the TT and Bora have 2 of the 4 best guys here so some room to play and risk stuff.
I think he is sick or getting sick. Normally he doesn't loose so much form from stage to stage.

Same approach, gap is not big enough. Also not sure what Pellizzari can do for Hindley when Visma and Decathlon are pacing…So does Giulio now ride for Jai or will RBH keep on going with their approach, on where forget it.

Perhaps, but it's quite the collapse. He seemed like he recovered OK on Blockhaus itself, it feels like illness maybe more likely. From 3rd best up Blockhaus (given the poor tactics) to almost getting dropped on a Cat 3.paying the price for blockhaus

Or, here’s an idea, answer my question… what do YOU expect Pellizarri should doI see. Likely something similar then at the Tour, on when it comes to leaders.
I don't think anybody expected him to win. But his level on Blockhaus was probably the best I've seen him other than that Giro stage he dropped Carapaz. Did he really go so far into the red that he needs a rest day to recuperate? Or is he ill? I don't think it's a sign of declining form in a normal senseIn the end rather normal development. I don't know on why suddenly such young riders are expected to win GTs. First of all they don't have experience for that.

Its going around in the bunch. Engelhardt quit because of this stomach virus.
I am not sure there are many lessons to take from either Lidl or Ineos this Giro.Ineos and Lidl-Trek aren't doing it like that. If we look at the teams on where their designated leaders struggled a bit already. They are both keeping the hierarchy. Team saying we don't basically care, you the riders figure it out. That won't get you far in stage racing on the highest level.
But anyway, RBH will try it out at both Giro and the Tour, two leaders each racing for himself. And lets see on where that gets them.
Hard to tell if GP is blown, sick or both. RBH will know after the TT if they have any GC podium chances. It's still open.So does Giulio now ride for Jai or will RBH keep on going with their approach, on where forget it.
It depends on the TT and 42 km flat does not favor Jai. If Pellizzari is just bad and doesn't perform, then maybe Hindley will not lose time to him. As Jai is not a good tter, especially on a course like that.Same approach, gap is not big enough. Also not sure what Pellizzari can do for Hindley when Visma and Decathlon are pacing…
