PS: Did a one thread for both races, since they are basically part of the same event, with the same riders participating.

Pogacar is coming back from his after Giro&Tour rest, will be interesting to see how he does. Others will have different ideas though.

Notable all-roundesr: Pogacar, Jorgenson, Van Gils, Ayuso, Wellens, Williams, Simon Yates, Alaphilippe, Bardet, Bettiol, Van Wilder, Bilbao
Notable sprinters: De Lie, Matthews, Girmay, Aranburu

Nice with some evening racing. I think Pog will do the double even though his tendency is to be pretty poor at this point of the year, but I think his big focus on Worlds might change that.

On from the start like it's Tour of Flanders or something

Sunday is Pogacar I think, UAE always ride when he fancies it hence Lotto being at the front

The climb is short and with a steep section, but crucially the road is wide and the tarmac isn't like some Basque goat track where you can make a difference. A puncheur can get away but I don't think it can be someone who will be marked too much.

Could've sworn Masnada(?!) won some weird KOM competition here one year? Might've been Mauri actually looking at last years breakaway.

Last year, Mauri won 10 of the first 12 climbs, Masnada the next two - but neither of them even came close to taking the overall, as the points increase with progression of the race. It's 1 point in the beginning, 25 in the end. Powless took those 25 and won.
