Read this into it. Hi I am Alberto Contador and I am a doper. Let me let you in on a little secret. I got some new dope that is undetectable. It works, good.

Contador: "Doping is gone"

The use of illegal substances is history," said the Spaniard who thinks of the last tour where no one was caught doping. "Cycling has the strictest controls."

sometimes I wonder what everyone on here expects people to say. He's the current star of the sport and top GC rider. No matter what he thinks the truth is it would be suicide to turn round and say doping is rife through the sport and the UCI are corrupt.

And here I thought we had a delivery *sulks*

Anyway, it's totally inane for an online magazine to post a 5 line story, with one quote about cycling being clean. However I think Contador is equally stupid for saying it, because it either makes him a liar or totally naive.

"Doping evidence from Puerto is gone"

A relatively clean Alberto was vulnerable in the 2010 TdF.
Andy knew it. Gave Andy confidence, especially in the ITT.

A totally clean Alberto will struggle to win the TdF again.
Will Alberto dope if he thinks other DangerMen are doping?

Will the other DangerMen dope knowing Alberto is clean?

Only pepe knows for sure.

Hmmm. Padddy must be looking for some walking around money.

Let the McQuaidification continue.

No one expects him to say that, but he's a fools to speak in terms of absolutes.

you do know with frank schleck being official puerto client, andy is much more suspected than contador who was acquitted even by uci of anything involving puerto like allan davis, botero and few others.

And Andy and Frank and Alberto are all buddies too.
Alberto gifted a TdF stage win to Frank. Alberto is BFF with Andy.

So if anyone knew Alberto was relatively clean and vulnerable during the TdF, it would be the Schlecks. Alberto knew he was vulnerable, too. That is the main reason he ATTACKED during Andy's Mechanical Misfortune instead of riding hard tempo. (The minor reason he ATTACKED = because he is a turd)

so that is the point of this thread then ?

Total non story. Not sure on details but he was probably asked a question and gave the standard reply everyone expects

Alberto was not completely un-linked to Puerto, now, was he? :)

"Nothing or same as JJ" - While it doesn't incriminate him completely, it clearly doesn't exonerate him either, does it?

By the way, it's not the first time we've ever heard about riders being cleared while there's probably more to it, is it?
