Could be put in another thread but here's the jersey design:

scaled.php

Stripes look on on the front but vomit worthy on the back.

EDIT: Oh and sponsors: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/strong-support-for-team-jayco-2xu

Thats the jersey for the Jayco-2XU team which is going to be a domestic NRS team, not the Green edge team which is going for atleast pro conti......

Only connection so far is Jayco and compression garments

However wouldn't be surprised if we get an announcement that Jayco Skins acts as a feeder for Jayco 2XU which acts as a feeder for GreenEDGE

Jayco Skins (U23, domestic & international)
==>
Jayco 2XU (Elite, domestic)
==>
GreenEDGE (Elite, WorldTour)

No ****, the Jayco-2XU team is the current topic though - as it was linked in Sydney21's post and mine directly underneath it + others.

High on the hit list, as will the likes of Haussler.

Also I reckon O'Grady might have a swansong year with GreenEDGE next year. As much as they're all bestmates at LEOPARD I think he'd like to give back to Australian cycling even more by being a headline name on the roster.

^ Also can see McEwen doing this which is even more probable considering him signing with Pegasus

It will be one or the other. Can't see O'Grady and McEwen finishing together.

Would love to see Renshaw leading out Goss next year for Green Edge, against Thomas leading out Wiggins for Sky! :)

Not sure this is something HTC would like to see though :)

Well, another possibility is always that McEwen or O'Grady join GreenEdge as DSs or some other staff position. They wouldn't necessarily be riders.

Actually, if I pretend I care, if O'Grady comes, be nice to see if he can get Jens to come as well. Riding for an Australian team would be a nice way for him to bookend his career. :)

Matt Goss will fly with Bannan team in 2012??????

I doubt it. I'm picking he will try and stay exactly where he is. My reasoning behind that is I think Cav will be looking elsewhere for the big dollars.

If not Goss, I'd be Renshaw.

Renshaw signed a two year contract with HTC at the beginning of this year/end of last year so he wont be out of contract until 2013

Just not capable of an original idea are the gurus from CA, lets copy the poms. Now all they need is a sponsor logo, a budget and a rider capable of riding up the front of the TDU for the whole of the race. No point thinking you can be competitive in a Grand Tour if you cannot take the GC here.

To be fair to GreenEdge I think they have the budget with or without the sponsor logo. Not sure what you mean about the TDU though?

The new Greenedge team has nothing to do with Cycling Australia, they've said they will work close together but CA isn't an official shareholder in the team. They have a Budget in place for the next 5 years and the logo is something they don't need to worry about for a while.

As far as the TDU and GT thing, two completely seperate types of races, just because a sprinter wins the TDU doesn't mean they'll do well in a GT. The two are uncomparable.

Does anyone know where GREEN edge is purporting to get it's money from?

Is Jayco (Australia) the sole bank roller??

Please, please lets not have another Pegasus on our hands...

It's not a Pegasus, the players involved guarantee that it will not be (Bannan wouldn't have left his post for a speculative startup).

They will have a 10-15mil budget, not quite sure where the money is coming from, but it is there.

Scott to be bike manufacturer! Might as well just steal all of Pegusus' other sponsors too. Apart from Gillett Jnr :). 2XU have gone to Jongewaard's team.

http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/7849/GreenEDGE-Cycling-and-SCOTT-Sports-announce-partnership.aspx

I reckon that list of names at the bottom is a pretty good guess to what the roster will look somewhat like next year except perhaps for Renshaw. All the others are off contract (i think). Its a bit too early to speculate though... even know thts just what I did...

I think they will get 5 of those 8. Renshaw will stay at HTC, and O'Grady, you would think will stay with his boys club. McEwen I'm not so sure, RadioShack might be toast, but he could just retire. They will have a fight on their hands for Porte, Goss, Bobridge and Cam Meyer - all four out of contract and looking to command a much higher salary. I would not be surprised if one of them ended up at Sky.

Others? Howard is out of contract (I think), but HTC will want to hold him if they lose Goss or Cav. They will probably sign Durbridge and Hepburn. Dennis, depends if he gets an offer from Rabo. Parker may want another year in the U23s.

Haussler is a bit of a mystery, no idea what will happen there, and what about Lancaster?

The foreigners who they will sign is harder to pick. They should try and sign Menchov, or Brajkovic (if TRS folds).

I think they could get 15 locals, which would have them a bit below 75% in a 25-30 man squad.
