I believe he also kept up his trend of having a beer on the final MTF

Whilst riding up it? Or just after he finishes it?

whose record did he break?
He has equalled the record of Bernardo Ruiz, winner of the 1948 Vuelta. However, Ruiz's record dates from the mid to late 50's when the Vuelta, after not being organised between 1951 and 1954, only had between 15 and 17 stages. Bernardo Ruiz is still alive. He's 90 years old and, according to Pedro Delgado, he's still an enthusiast and lucid follower of the sport.

Thanks!

It's a good job for Hansen he doesn't have to chase Marino Lejarreta.
