hello all,
I have joined hoping to learn how to become a better sprinter, I attended a velodrome incite session four months ago. Immediately taking to the track and reminding myself why I used to love cycling and the addictive nature of sprint tactics.
Now the winter is here I can no longer train unless I have my own bike, so now I'm after a road bike and track bike. I have been reading plenty and training regularly at the gym (as I have always done) on the spinning bikes completing sprints and VO2 max sessions as well as weighted strength training.
I have come across this carbon track bike by Planet X http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/CBPXPCTB/planet_x_franko_bianco_pro_carbon_track_bike probably in black as white is a little ostentatious for me.
Good choice for reasonable money?
I also understand I'll need regular road miles under my legs, so have a similar budget for a road bike. Maybe something from Specialized? Or should I consider fixed gear for road too?
