Question How to stop email notifications

What am I doing wrong?

I went into preferences > content options and un-checked "and receive email notifications" but I am still getting email notifications.

What am I missing?

Preferences>Email options> un-check> "Receive news and update emails" and "Receive email when a new conversation message is received".

Thank you, but that was the first thing I tried and it didn't change anything. Ended up just marking the email notification as spam. Thanks nonetheless
