I have been teasing my brother about his thinning hair, but I think he is starting to feel bad about it and I feel baaaadddd about giving him a hard time about it. Is this really something that men get offended about? Now, I have to make it up to him. Any ideas? other than buying him a bottle of Jack Daniels?

Maybe not offended, but it's not nice to be reminded about. Most male members of my family are quite bald so I've done a lot of worrying about it too. Turns out I'm allowed to keep my hair (for now), but yes, it is a touchy subject.

Buy him a wig, that'll cheer him up.

Yeah, kinda touchy subject for alot of guys.

Your brother might want to go for a Wayne Rooney style hair replacement therapy, done a quick google search, they do a pay as you go service for £300 a time plus the stylist's charge, only top up when you need it.

I am fortunate that my father and grandfather had a full head of hair until they were 80 and i seem to be following suit.Long may it continue. :)

How would you feel if he mentioned that you looked fat?

Nah, keep making fun of him if you feel like it, eventually he'll have to accept it anyway and he'll make fun of it himself.
I'm not saying he'll feel good about your jokes now but maybe they'll help to reach the acceptance phase :)
Edit: my own experience

Has he tried minoxidil or other products that stop hair loss?

Yes, of course men get offended. How about if I insulted your *** or your tits or your nose?

What exactly was this "bad" word you called him!? If it was simply "bald" and he got offended tell him to look up Rule #5, seriously. Just say no to being offended and don't facilitate other people being offended. Unless, of course, bald was not the word.

I don't think we should tease about this, nor height, size. Well, you have to make it up for him, If he is a cyclist, buy him this(not ads).

I found this very useful when you go on long distance cycling. It saved my brother's life when he broke his leg and couldn't make a call because of the dying battery of his phone!
You have no idea how grateful I was that I bought this for him.
