If you could ask one question

If you could ask one question about anything to do with cycling, who would you ask and what would be the question?

Assume that you can guarantee you will keep the answer secret, so you will get a full, honest and informative answer. However there is no point asking anyone if they have doped, because no-one will confess and anyway this is the wrong forum. Ideally I'm looking for questions designed to get information, rather than just score points by cleverness.

Here's a question related to this year:
To Bradley Wiggins: What was your relative form at the Dauphiné, Tour and Vuelta - and was it good enough to podium the Tour?

I'd ask Andy Schleck why he waited till the final week of the Tour to make a concerted effort in trying put some distance between himself and Evans.

I'd ask both Andy and Frank had they completely given up hope of winning LBL, thus deciding to ensure they could hang on to 2nd and 3rd, that was why they eventually escorted Gilbert to the finish with nary an attack. Or did they believe that one of them was going to outsprint him for the win?

I'd ask Nick Nuyens was he insulted by Cancellara's statements that he wasn't a "winner", thus implying that he (Nuyens) was an underserving winner of RVV.

I'd ask Cancellara who writes his material (Nygard?) that he spouts to the media and does he actually believe most of it.

I'd ask Evans was he spooked by the look of longing and love in the eyes of ACF while he salivated in front of him while Evans autographed his book. Was security called when he wouldn't leave the premises when told to or did his personal security service escort him out by the scruff of his neck?:D

I'd ask Voeckler did he get the faces he makes while mugging for the camera from Richard Virenque or are they of his own personal creation?

Wiggins would say yes.

Id say, if you take away crashes from that Tour, hell no.

If you just take away Wiggin's crash but keep all the others, then maybe.

I just love that question

Hitch
The rules of this game are that he gives his honest opinion (though he could be fooling himself) - though you're probably right about the finishing place

I'd ask Robert Gesink how he manages to ride behind people that are going to fall and f*ck up his GC or his potential GC. ( Mosquera - Vuelta 09; Brajkovic - TdF 11)

:p

That he's a "Gladiator with the his opponents massed against him but he still came out of the battle with his head held high" (paraphrased from memory)?
This among other whoppers like it coincided with the Leopard-Trek ("Pure Racing") team start. Prior to 2011 his media statements were less, how can I put it, "theatrical".

he does seem to be rather childish about these things. like his genuine enthusiasm about his spartacus-sticker pimped bike :D i'm just saying that his poor english also contributes to the general daftness. (and im a huge fan mind u) id love to know how his italian sound like though. anyone?

Go to sporten, then click on wielrennen. After that scroll down a little bit till you see "Fabian Cancellara at de Laatste Show."

I would ask Contador what it feels like to be able to sprint up a steep 10km plus mountain and drop everyone.

The Schlecks and Sastre about conflict between them in the TdF. I heard kind of Sastre wanted to go still on the Croix de Fer, but Riis didn't let him. Frank allegedly took offense a lot after that, though it's unfair for what. :p Very interesting.
