where people can and do discuss doping in professional cycling? ie any other website where you can and people do discuss it - slowtwitch exists but seems pro-LA. I'm talking about where people can really challenge the perceived notion that cycling is clean?

True although Velorooms is making an effort to provide a place for discussion of the topic as opposed to rabid flaming and trolling where the topic is often secondary to beating the other guy

A little late to the party, but if you really want to see the dark side of doping in sports, including plenty of cycling, register and read Cutting Edge Muscle. You may feel like you need a shower afterwards, but that site is as real as it gets as far as doping talk goes.
