Not sure if there already is a thread about this, but who do you think will be the contenders for the jerseys at this years TdF?

Yellow: Wiggins, Evans, Van den Broeck
Polkadot: Dan Martin, Johnny Hoogerland, (GC contenders?)
Green: Mark Cav, Peter Sagan, Pettachi
White: ?

This is a mixture, of what I expect, and what i hope :D

Well there is a separate thread for each one of those jerseys and then a couple for the Yellow jersey.

Putting them all together would be a good idea, but creating a new thread separate to those seems to be a bit surplus.

Anyway Yellow: Evans/Wiggins.
My heart said Wiggins, mind Evans after the Dauphine I dont know what to think.

Green: Sagan
KOM: Vanendert
I have said it will be taken by a contender who gets eliminated from GC or who is consistently the best on the climbs but if i have to go for one name it will be Vanendert of course with VDB there and everything else it is a bit difficult but i am a big advocate of his.
White: Kruisijiwik

Coppel is to old and dont think Pinot will be riding.

Yellow 1 Wiggins 2 Evans 3 VDB2
Green 1 Sagan 2 Cav 3 Greipel
Polkadot 1 Martin 2 Hoogerland 3 Vanendert
White 1 Kruijswijk 2 Taaramae 3 Poels

Will Vanendert get a free role? Surely he's VDB2's only help in the mountains, pretty much.

Have we seen Lotto's long-list yet? I do think you're selling Francis de Greef short if he's going to be riding - he's not done anything spectacular but has hovered around the top 20-25 of quite a few GTs now, and he was the Lotto rider who went past Evans in the Sánchez group when Evans had the puncture in the '09 Vuelta. He's not going to be there when the going gets really tough, but he could certainly do a good job for much of the stage protecting Vanendert as well as VDB2 so that he has a relatively fresh domestique later on.

Had a look on cyclingfever's, and you'd struggle to find another potential climbing dom on the list. OK he has De Greef, who I'm far from familiar with but understood he was a decent climber, but it seems a bit reckless to let Vanendert go off chasing a minor jersey when the team's that light in the mountains and Greipel will have at least 2 guys working for him...

edit - the "?" icon above is an error BTW.

Him and Greipel, yes.

I fail to see how Greipel will be much help to VDB2 in the mountains, particularly with the sprint stages to worry about, but whatever :p

I don't think that Vanendert will get enough freedom for the KoM jersey. Since there is only three MTF and none of them are HC climbs, the jersey will be won in breakaway and VDB2 will not want the only other guy who can climb on his team to be in a breakaway.
