All about optics, yo. In the road racing forum Giannetti is touted as the best talent scout there is.

While I don't doubt that he has his ways to perform in ("ex ante") talent spotting, I would nevertheless surmise that his CV suggests even greater skills in ("ex post") talent, um, nurturing.
Preparing to release updated V3.5 JoJo.

I'm really looking forward to how the race this week plays out, and I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint.

EDIT: my second point was really more intended for the road racing forum

It's quite funny to see him splash like Magikarp in TTs not ridden in July. Remco crashed like 10 meters into his TT and Roglic took the wrong turn, yet the Fisherman lost to them both. That's a good 30 seconds in normal circumstances.

But hey, once Heijboer uses his magic to remove the paint from his frame and Niermann goes on a voyage of discovery and reconnaissance all will be well and minutes will be dropped.

Wouldn't say 30 seconds but 20 seconds was a sure bet.

Yeah? Pogacar is still on another level in the Tour de France. Just like Vingegaard. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
Whoever can win an ITT with 3min over WvA and the rest and 1:38 over said Pogacar who was anyway already on another level, should probably still be believed to do a little bit better outside the Tour. The margin was simply so gigantic. And ofc Roglic and Evenepoel also hardly peaked for Itzulia. Nor Skjelmose (who did well in the Tour and today) - yet Vingegaard (ok, calc a bit shaky) lost 4.5kmh relatively.

Good for you if you expect Vingegaard to destroy all the competitors on a rolling ITT on the first stage of Basque Country in april, but I think most people can see that there is a big difference between yesterday and a semi mountain ITT in the 3rd week of a hard ridden TDF. He was the 3rd favorite yesterday but finished 5th. But who cares about nuances

C'mon man, he didn't say he expected Vingegaard to destroy the field. But he should be closer and this rise questions about doping since he is a completly different animal in the Tour (just talking about time trialling).

Fanboys of Pogacar talking about Vingegaard using doping, when Gianneti and Matxin were the bosses of Ricardo Ricco 😂

Gianneti and Matxin know something about that, they can give some good juice to Pogacar in the second rest day, especially with all the money from emirates.

nothing they could do will avoid Froomegaard smashing the TDF. I really remember my jaw dropped watching that TT

The befuddling thing about that ITT was how close we expected it to be between the two; how close everyone else were at the first time-check before Pogi already totally demolished them and gave the impression of being on track for another PdBF performance; and then how despite the very fast time by Pogi, Vingegaard just went even faster - as in far faster compared to the rest than we could even imagine beforehand. It was totally cray cray.

He couldnt believe the watts he was putting out... after the radio broke.

Seems like someone panicked and rode much faster than the real intention was, when he didnt hear anything from the car anymore just to make sure.
