Sounds like he's expecting some loss of time to both Pogacar and Remco though
He will be fine if he says so... 😁

Last year we had the TT for the ages by Vingegaard (no time for back flips in the pool, it was TT recon & scraping paint of the bike instead)
.Will Visma risk going full nuclear? With a few days until the next big mountain test I think they'll go for it, so I've got my Oppenheimer googles and lead lined longjohns at the ready.
It's fish or be fished!Apparently Vingo didn't even recon the route. No nuke today but survival mode (Teddy is more likely to nuke IMO).
Pog and Vinge attacked the last k.So, what to make of this? Vingegaard didn't destroy the field, but I'd be worried if I were Pogacar. A narrow lead ahead of the high mountains.
Evenepoel could be more of a factor than expected if he keeps riding as well in the mountains as he did on Galibier
For now Pog has some lead and what's even more important - Visma team looks weak as hell, which isn't a good sign for Jonas. UAE can slowly bring him back if he attacks far from the finish, just like Sky in their prime. Pog can definitely drop Jonas during a short effort like on Galibier. So Jonas isn't in the best position for the overall unless some miracles happen during the last weekend. So, what to make of this? Not diverse enough for that.Vingegaard is about to be the next Disney prince if the miracle keeps going on.
Disney Princess? Not diverse enough for that.

Solved that problem. Not diverse enough for that.
Without accounting for bonus seconds, I suppose that Vingegaard could suck Pogacar's wheel all the way through the mountains, pull off an alien level time trial like last year in the final stage, and win the race by seconds without having dropped Pogacar a single time in the mountains. For now Pog has some lead and what's even more important - Visma team looks weak as hell, which isn't a good sign for Jonas. I think he will kill jonas on isolaWithout accounting for bonus seconds, I suppose that Vingegaard could suck Pogacar's wheel all the way through the mountains, pull off an alien level time trial like last year in the final stage, and win the race by seconds without having dropped Pogacar a single time in the mountains.
So at some point, Pogacar should drop him more significantly before they reach stage 21
I just saw Vingegaard's comment after today's stage: "I'm really happy with this time trial, especially how I perormed on the uphill sections. Last year I gained 7 minutes and 30 seconds during two stages towards the end of the Tour, so I'm not worried about the current time gap"I think he will kill jonas on isola
Yeah he is very arrogant but i like that people see his true face right nowI just saw Vingegaard's comment after today's stage: "I'm really happy with this time trial, especially how I perormed on the uphill sections. The mind games and trying to get into each others heads is a funny thing!I just saw Vingegaard's comment after today's stage: "I'm really happy with this time trial, especially how I perormed on the uphill sections. I am certainly impressed with Vingemort's ability to recover from such as nasty crash, not ride the TT bike much, not really pre ride the route, and still be where he is at. Doped but also pretty insane recovery - they should X-Ray him for electronic parts!!
He'll either decline because of lack of prep, or will improve because he will "race himself into shape" ... which I thought was no longer a thing
I don't see his statement as arrogance, more like a very methodical brain doing the calculations. He's an alien robot! (I don't mind him though, I like sci-fi.)Yeah he is very arrogant but i like that people see his true face right now
Seems like arrogance to me - or perhaps insecurity? After losing time to his big rival at high altitude then again in the TT, saying "he gained 7 minutes and 30 seconds during two stages towards the end of the Tour, so I'm not worried about the current time gap" is a slap in the face to Pogacar. Now I know not to just blame Richard Plugge.I don't see his statement as arrogance, more like a very methodical brain doing the calculations. He's an alien robot! (I don't mind him though, I like sci-fi.)
Not a fan of either but it would be hilarious if Bingo keeps trash talking The Pog and beats him in week 3.I just saw Vingegaard's comment after today's stage: "I'm really happy with this time trial, especially how I perormed on the uphill sections. He isn't the most intelligent rider in the peleton, is he? Well, he was a fisherman before, so I don't expect much from him. We shall see how well he does in a classic terrain next.Last year I gained 7 minutes and 30 seconds during two stages towards the end of the Tour, so I'm not worried about the current time gap"
It's not exactly the most accurate translation, it's more along the lines of "it's not the end of the world, anything can still happen"I just saw Vingegaard's comment after today's stage: "I'm really happy with this time trial, especially how I perormed on the uphill sections. Yeah, and Pog has been known to have real bad days where he loses minutes. As has Remco for that matter. It's not exactly the most accurate translation, it's more along the lines of "it's not the end of the world, anything can still happen"
