Holly molly. The fishy era won't end quickly! Thanks God that Teddy is now a classics specialist (who can also climb a bit).

For French readers :
Portoleau just posted his 2023 calculations.
The last few lines of conclusions are quite worrisome.

For non French readers : There are lots of translation programs available and the essential is numbers anyway.

I read that article and was not impressed. Lots of words, lack of hard figures.

I would be interested to read other comments about it.
I read it. Reminds me of both Lance and Skyneos (marginal gains).

The lack of responses tells you something about this forum. Tacit endorsement of Jumbo’s doping. Fans are part of why there is a Clinic and cycling has the reputation it does.

Wait till the 8 + w/kg occurs next year. I also think he’s going to destroy the TTT and TT at the Vuelta to show killing it in the TT and his team controls the rest of the race is the way to him pulling off the triple.

I thought it was interesting but not ultimately persuasive to account for JV s itt dominance. That said, I am a believer in marginal gains, but more for the confidence of a rider knowing that his team has left no stone unturned. We’ve heard stories that riders on poorer team have to pay out of pocket for testing and training that wealthy teams provide.

The rally style pace notes, however, seemed like a great idea.

First JumboVisma crack? Small fish (no pun intended) tests positive for drug that can be used to cover performance enhancing drugs, including EPO ...

Meanwhile, Vingegaard will race the Vuelta without altitude training and without meticulous study of the course. Coach says it's tricky, but if everything goes right, he may hit his max level like in the Tour.

And his wife is in the Danish tabloids: 'My secret wish is that Jonas will ride all three Grand Tours within a year' ❤️❤️❤️

How they did it, the secret revealed.

How Jonas Vingegaard trained to crush Tadej Pogačar at the Tour de France
Team trainer lifts lid on framework that forged Vingegaard's yellow jersey dominance – how will it carry the Dane into Vuelta a España?

That was fairly scant on actual information, unfortunately. But that is to be expected. Everyone and their aunt knows that consistency is king, that Vingo's strength is long efforts and that they gained data revealing Pogi's measure last year. What we don't know concerns training and rest: the what, how much and when.

That Heijboer thinks he could reach TDF level in the Vuelta is actually interesting.

To me the implication is that they consider his Tour level not that much of a huge peak compared to his level throughout the rest of the year
