We've also heard that he only paid 1.8 million Euro for his new house, but he's probably also going to earn less this year than he had initially hoped for.

Visma is rebuilding him stronger and better than before.Any update on him?

Visma-LAB has a dilemma. They could smash the Tour with another model of Skeletor but that would be suspicious so they are probably repairing the current one for the Vuelta.
Visma has a prototype ready in the LAB.I'm not sure they have time enough to grow a new Skeletor before the Tour, unless Vingeaard's new house is equipped with a state of the art research facility.

Nah, in May we will know.Followed recent updates and as fully expected with a pneumothorax still too early to know which direction the wind blows.
My best guess is mid June before anything thoroughly can be stated with evidence. But could be early July as well.
Think even best experts don't have any answers yet.

Given his injuries it seems like a stretch. But even if you assume the week leading into the Tour weekend is just tapering and not training, that still leaves 8 weeks of training available?Which way the wind blows?
Sorry in such a serious situation to note an unintentional pun....
Considering it is nearly May there are 5 weeks of preparation time before the Tour. It doesn't look like time allows for crucial training to occur based on what we've been told.
I don't know how you were able to miss my point.Which way the wind blows?

Next week we will probably know the answer. The team should do an update.I don't know how you were able to miss my point.
And I dunno what 'pun' I've caused (?)
Didn't watch the stage, and it was blocked on VOD afterwards. Just read about the crash just post stage.
So you would say definitely 'nay' or how should I read your last sentence?
It's been a huge setback for him physically, but in my calender theres 2 months + 3 datmys to Le Grand Départ.
With a pneumothorax I certainly don't expectNext week we will probably know the answer. The team should do an update.
Beliefs are much up in the air yet at these stages.I still believe he can do it, but if he don't, focus is on the Vuelta.
Pneumothorax....literally where the "wind" should not blow in a lung/rib injury. It's a bad joke but couldn't pass it up.I don't know how you were able to miss my point.

Sorry, I didn't see it. Painful joke.Pneumothorax....literally where the "wind" should not blow in a lung/rib injury. It's a bad joke but couldn't pass it up.
This **** Jonas is having has almost the same recovery time as Tadej's wrist. Yet very few people on this forum acknowledge that Tadej's wrist had anything to do with him losing the TDF last year. On the other hand I'm yet to see someone say Jonas will be 100% for this years TDF.Let's be honest, huge serious injury, hospitalized for at least a week. NO CHANCE he is ready in time for the tour.
People were making excuses about teddy's wrist, this *** Jonas has is 20x worse
Just let the guy heal
I already said some times, if Vingegaard starts the Tour without pain and recovered, he doesn't need to start the Tour at 100% in terms of shape to win the race, especially when the Tour is backloaded in the last 8 days. This **** Jonas is having has almost the same recovery time as Tadej's wrist. All this despite us having seen prior cases with similar injuries to Jonas where athlets came back within a month and Jonas also has 17 more days to recover and prepare for the TDF than Tadej had.
IMO Vingegaard is still Visma's best bet for the podium and the only one capable of winning it all. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't show up for this years TDF. Probably not as good as he would be with his ideal preperation but still in a very good form.
I did not say that. I said that the recovery time for both is not that different. Ofcourse Jonas was in more pain and his life took a bigger hit for the first 2-3 weeks after the injury but that does not change the fact that his journey back to bike should only take 1 or 2 weeks longer than what Tadej's took last year.People unironically arguing an injury that sent a rider to ICU isnt worse than hand injury that got surgery that same day and where the rider was out of hospital 24h later

Let's hope he is. Steff Cras is already on the trainer.Well that depends on what you define as "on the bike" taking in to account the natural break pogi was going to take after the spring, I would guess, if we include the indoor trainer, he had practically no real break from keeping his body going.
Not sure Jonas is anywhere near this. He has to be on the trainer now.
