The role of UAE lieutenants will be dictated by Tour de Suisse and Criterium du Dauphine.

Let's not forget that UAE sucks at tactics. If it seems that they don't it's because they have in Pogacar a superhuman that masks tactical acumen. When you put too many egos together in a team and other talent charged teams, it's not obvious that internal struggles won't have a role.

Is Sepp Kuss going to the Tour?

If he is, his role could be really remarkable, splitted leadership with Jonas? Kuss could give some room for Vingo in first stages to grow into the full strength , putting some pressure for example against Pogi who may be cautious in first half, because he doesn't know how his body takes two gt's back to back. Or Jonas (and VWA?) supporting Sepp in second half if he can't stay in GC early losing final game?

I think this is interesting strategic setting and how for example Roglic and Evenepoel smell this and try to benefit for themselves.
100% Kuss is going to the Tour barring a crash.

You are massively overrating Kuss.

News about Jonas Vingegaard from the danish TV2:

The plan is laid - this is how Vingegaard will be Tour-ready
How accurate is the English translation?
No mention of his lungs or ribs injury.

“We are still a month from the Tour, and we are doing everything to improve his fitness and body weight, and we are also working with the physiotherapist and our strength coach in terms of making the shoulder where he had surgery stronger. And it also takes energy. He is still recovering, explains Tim Heemskerk.

The Dutch coach says that the fact that he was in a hospital bed 12 days after the crash in the Basque Country took a toll on Vingegaard's form, and that with such injuries as Vingegaard sustained, work with the physiotherapist is required before work can be carried out the bicycle.”

Wonder what the odds are if Vingegaard starts, his form being too hot and he collapses at the end without the strong base to help support it.

Having a physiologist (therapist) make sure his flexibility and stability is correct is ongoing. He could go to harder work with a weaker shoulder but the efforts can screw up the balance necessary to survive multiple days....of training. That they're not mentioning any VO2 information suggest he's actually not pressing efforts.
Being at altitude will give them some initial response to lung efficiency that would provide training limits.

The press accounts are encouraging but they are designed to perpetuate more press. We aren't told anything more than when he was pictured standing with his bike two weeks ago.

All you say is very correct.
That we only still see him smiling next to his bike, or gently rolling past a 'suprised journalist' on the cycle path is significant.
The more I follow this, the more I think we are witness to a Jumbo LAB corporate "making of" of the movie of Vindegaard's heroic mission - after fateful event - to arrive to Le Tour 2024 and defeat all other contenders, only to see Pogacar ride of into the distance and historic glory...
Van Aert has already starred in the prequel. All is destined for a dramatic and tearful ending.
If Vindegaard wins this years Vuelta, I say chapeau!

PT is there to build up his strength first and foremost in the shoulder then ROM and stability. But we’ve heard the last couple times the shoulder has been bothering him. I agree altitude will make things worse but it’d be nice to hear how he was doing with his training before that. Though I can understand they don’t want anyone to have that information.

curious facts:
1) the whole world talks (fans, journalists, team directors) except the person directly involved, not a single word
2) none of the above made even the slightest reference to the state of his wounds (ribs, lungs)

Something is cooking...
1) Because he just wants to ride his bike. Leave him alone, let him recover, get better, and get ready for the TDF. He just wants to focus on that.
2) Because they don't know the outcome yet. If he isn't going to be completely ready, they can have an excuse which wouldn't be the case if they are already saying it's going well.

Nothing is cooking, people are just doing their work.

People are doing their job, cooking soup to get Jonas ready to star in a fairy tale.
