‘Trainer of Wout of Aert may also leave Jumbo-Visma’

BORA-hansgrohe not only seems to take Primo Rogli? away from Jumbo-Visma. The Latest News reports today that the German formation is also busy with the arrival of coach Marc Lamberts. The Belgian has been Roglic’s personal coach at Jumbo-Visma for a long time, but also of Wout van Aert.

This article here paints a dire picture of Jumbo´s situation. Maybe they told Plugge they would have trouble funding JV in 2024 already?

You really want this team to go down, don't you? Haha. I don't quite understand why, but haters are gonna hate.

This article is a few months old, and the news article it's based on doesn't mention bankruptcy at all. Just that they're growing less than they're used to. These supermarket chains have all had huge revenues during the pandemic, because there wasn't any competition anymore. Now it's back to relatively normal.

no I don't. I just saw that piece a few minutes ago on twitter. I argued so much with ppl who wantd Sky to go down, it was all they wanted in their cycling life.
I'd be an hypocrite to hope for the same for Jumbo while I fought those dickheads when they wished the same for Sky. I'm not fan at all, but it's never good if a team shuts down

ps. the "This article here paints a dire picture of Jumbo´s situation. Maybe they told Plugge they would have trouble funding JV in 2024 already?" is quote from twitter, I didn't write it

Bora - replacement for Nils
I don't think Asgreen also fits in the budget. But they have still room in their squad and were heavily linked to Lamperti through the season. It could be that they pick up talent or some helpers to Cerny, Huby, Warlop... With Mullen, Koch and Benedetti signed they have now a few domestiques more but I think there is still room as they probably want to stretch their leaders in different one week races and you have to fill a lot of line-ups then.

Don't exactly understand why you think UAE would be "stupid"?
He would become their obvious captain for all the cobbled classics, provided Pogacar does not ride. He would be an upgrade to a Trentin who is over the hill but still servicable as his No 2.

Bahrain would be a slightly different dynamic with Mohoric and Wright in the mix, but it would be quite a good trio for cobbled and hilly classics.
UAE has a really star-studded team and even though Asgreen might have been their main cobbles rider, this will probably be a secondary objective for them compared to escpecially GTs but also hilly classics.

And regarding Bahrain, he and Mohoric share much of the similar strengths, and might target much of the same races and ride in about the same way. I think it will be easier to attack early and having VdP or Pedersen to neutralize the other riders if he were a team mate with one of them.

And I course despise both teams, but that is another topic.

Good article about the whole thing

Realistically, i feel that no team can afford Rogla, Jonas, van Aert and Evenepoel all riding for them. On top of having all other quality riders. It's just too much, financially. And then from the sport side of things. We'll see soon on how Jonas, Remco and Kuss and Wilco will do in GT's in 2024 season. If riding for the same team. Will that prove to be an advantage or not. For example when at the Tour Remco gains an advantage in ITT and then Jonas attacks him on the first real climb. Will they still win together or move more in Movistar type of perfection. And who exactly will be happy with it. Hum.

Now he'll probably get Tim Heemskerk as a trainer, which means he'll win the Tour one day.

Weird take.

He is supplying relevant information in a non-hateful way.

Good article about the whole thing

Best line for the whole article full of asterisks and speculation:

"My best advice for anyone watching this with their head spinning is to sit back, enjoy the madness, and don’t believe anything you hear until the riders and teams involved release official statements (or until they show up to the season-opening Tour Down Under in January)."

Martin sure thinks he knows a lot.

Patrick Lefevere is working on a 'shelter team' for victims of takeover

Let me guess the team will be named Saint Patrick?

Unfortunately such legal moves, new entity and signing a new contract, that usually leads to imminent employee contract termination without much compensation involved. So i would be careful with signing for this new team, would likely first exhaust the legal options in regards to current contract.
