JV and Garmin - paragons of cleanER?

This thread is for talking about JV and Garmin, whether you think they deserve credit for presenting a cleanER image of pro cycling or are just like all the rest in the sport (hiring unrepentent dopers etc) and are milking pubic desparation for a cleanER peloton

The JV - talks sort of thread is for questions and dscussion with JV when he pops in.

cheers

JV and Garmin - paragons of virtue?

Wallace said:
You do realize that there's this race going on in France right now and that JV is probably a little busy now? Maybe you should wait until the Tour is over to see what he has to say.

We're expecting something a bit more intimate.

Kimmage or tilford have the same offer you do. Come and observe. Whenever, however. Happy for kimmage to take another look.

thehog said:
if thehog pays his own way (not beers) can he come along and observe? It will be a clinic special by the hog.

jv1973 said:
sure thing.

cool. I need to set up some stuff in europe after the tour. I'll be in touch. I'll be nice i promise.

Clinic special on garmin.

thehog said:
i'm well up for it only if it stays as a thread in the clinic. I'm not going down the walsh path. I'll go in with an open mind and report fairly. With humour!

Let's see what comes and if the offer is genuine.

Love it!

The beauty of the invite is the bus is cleans and the dopers aren't leaving medical waste lying around the hotels any more.

The JV message and the JV reality is very likely exactly correct. It remains to be seen if there are more "calibration errors" this grand tour.

In your face conspiracy nuts and bone idle w@nkers!!:D

JV's personal attacks are way better than that though.

Vaughters on twitter accepting to give a talk at INSEAD, which he had to research. Would someone at Garmin please tell JV that there is a big important race going on!!! :)
tell him to speak to James Hird at INSEAD. The Australian Bruyneel. He is on a study hiatus only for the 9month executive MBA program.

Tilford nails it again

.....Jonathan Tiernan-Locke. A British rider that was wined and dined by both Sky and Garmin. Here is a guy that has a blood profile screwy enough to be suspended, and the two “clean” teams of the Pro peleton are fighting over him. It goes to show you that these teams don’t do **** for testing or checking out the guys that they hire. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

And the same two teams after Froome. What exactly are they looking at?

What was the term Vaughters used, "adaptive talent", they are looking for "adaptive talent"..........

My translation of "adaptive talent" is how well a riders responds....

You can transfer mid season?

August 1st to 15th.

Actually in many ways better for everyone if it happens there and then.

Old team can use someone else in late season races (and get WT points etc)
New team get their rider.
Rider isn't a 'lame duck' where their team mates may not ride for them as hard.

Not sure why you would let a "game changer" go so easily...

Coz he's picking up a baker's half dozen of Cannondale riders for the same price? Throw enough **** at the wall and some should stick, right?

Maybe Jay-V changed his mind about Dennis being a game changer and didn't see the point in competing with teams that actually have money to spend.

Dennis probably isn't the easiest guy to work with, regardless. Needs a DS with better people skills. BMC seems a good fit.

JV's proven beyond doubt he ain't no people person manager, that we know for sure. Without a single incident to report on Rohan, you lay the blame at his feet.

Gotcha.

Well I guess Thor didn't stop charging, but for every one of him there is a Haussler, a Klier and a Hammond. I wouldn't expect much from Amadio's pets after they leave the kennel.

Another TTT win perhaps? Will be interesting to see.

Tilford called out Tom Danielson in 2012..

SSDD......

Garmin, esp JV is all about smoke and mirrors.

New clean generation huh!

Funny how hard you can go when you love the guy you're working for. @tomdanielson @Ride_Argyle

Ben King @BenKing89 · 6 h
That was SO cool! No matter how many excuses there are it's easy to motivate for a guy like @tomdanielson. @Ride_Argyle steam rolled stage 4
