On his schedule it says he will do it. But he might change it after winning le tour. Hope he does it as he can do the double.

He very well could, but I don't think he'd be competing for the win there, maybe the podium, but not the win.

However, if he comes down to Australia after the tour (as he should), that doesn't give him too much time to rest up before the Vuelta start. My thought is that it would be better for him to build up and see what he can do in Lombardia.

I can see Contador doing it next year if he doesn't get banned. Anton will probably **** up anyway, he'll win his first GT when he's 34. He's the new Cadel(Andy is Poulidor)

I am not being blind even before le tour a lot of people stated that he could win the vuelta. After yesterday a lot of people have been saying he could do the double. I agree it will be hard to win the race against his fresher rivals. But cuddles always has pretty good form when he enters a race, he doesnt enter a race like the schlecks. He has a chance of winning it but it will be very hard considering the fatigue. However it depends if he will enter the race since he just won le tour and might be celebrating or content with his season.

Are they going to give the Cadel an OAM like they did for the English when they won the Ashes? Paul Collingwood had an average of around 10 with the bat in that series and got an OBM.

The climbs are not as onerous in the Vuelta and he will not lose too much time in the mountains, then he would go well in the last week like Cunego. There are time bonuses as well right???

I'd have to agree. This years route was super tough and the fact that the vuelta is a week earlier this year will make things very very hard.

Maybe a stage win and working for the team to get some other wins would be a good thing to takeout of la vuelta.

He may not do la vuelta now and just do some end of season classics and stage races.

my head said logically contador was gonna win this year. but cadel didnt do a thing wrong. and that stage to alpe d'huez... i couldnt believe tht he finished the way he did.
