Le GP Ouest-France -Plouey - 248km

Can't see a thread anywhere.

Mods feel free to insert a profile if you can find a decent one.

Basically, it's 13 laps of a circuit with a 6-7% climb, then a 4-5% climb, then 2km to the finish.

Gilbert could win, but I hope he doesn't, as that probably means Boasson will have won.

Cyclingnews managed to preview this race without mentioning EBH. That's pretty impressive. They mentioned Ciolek and Ballan though...

Anyhow, I see only two winners here: either Gilbert or EBH.

This will be between Leukemans, Gilbert and Gerrans. Maybe Voeckler can pull something out of the bag.

Sky aren't sending a very strong team here, I'm not quite sure why they send sprinters like Henderson and Swift here and not to Vattenfall. Should've sent someone like Knees instead. What they need is riders who are strong enough to be there in the end to pull back Gilbert...Flecha and G are always awesome though but I doubt it will be enough.

I think Sky have a perfect two pronged attack. Gerrans on the attack, Gilbert has to chase, whilst EBH clings on and beats them in a sprint. That's what i think should happen. I love these races as you get to go through each team and list who you think might win.
1. Bak will go on the attack somewhere setting it up perfectly for Renshaw ( if he survives ) and Rasmussen who won Philly ( so he should be considered )
2.Hushovd will have a very strong team who can play a few cards. However i think they will be used as a big group rather than P-R.
3. FDJ have heaps of attacking options. Everyone except for really, Vichot and Gerard if they attack i think the other teams have to look out.( definitely want to win on French soil and Offredo will want some protection )
4. I think Ulissi could surprise here. Cunego is using this as warmups for WC and Lombardy.
5. Astana could send Simon Clarke in a break of 5 or so and know he would win by being fast and strong on the hills. They have a strong team with Davis and Gregorio in the wings.
6. Liking the look of Kadri and Elmiger getting in a break.
7. If Ventoso and Rojas can survive they would be favourites to win ( along with EBH and Thor ) However it shall be more aggressive than other races and Rojas could not stick with Thor stage 4 of Mur De Bretagne. Costa to attack near the end as well, he should target races like LBL and others next year.
8. Gilbert has a strong team ( however maybe not as good as in F-W ) and Vanendert. He is the real favourite if the racing is aggressive.
9. Moinard???
10. Di Luca/ Pozzato tandem might work. Along with Sky, OPL, Astana and sometimes BMC have the strongest team for all classics.
11. Landa, Sicard??? ( porbably not. On the CN start list it said Samu would start???)
12. Boom if he can go well on the flats. Wondering if Mathews can survive 9 probably not but he could go well here in 5 years time )
13. Gerrans/ EBH form a good tandem and they head here favourites. Gerrans has won here before and is in good form, whilst EBH is maturing and probably confident after Vattenfall. They have a nice team for support. ( maybe too many flat men but oh well )
14. Wegmann???
15. Ponzi? ( need sagan here )
16. Ciolek and Devenyns??? It would surprise but Ciolek seems to be getting desperate. Dark horse???
17. Bozic, Hoogerland and Leukemans could all go well in different circumstances. However i expect them to not go well, but hope so.
18. The old sprinters cling on? doubt it.
19. Cooke, Haedo??? Might go well.
20. Gallopin, Dumoulin???
21. Have Voeckler but he might not be up to scratch. However the course suits him. Rolland might be in form after ( Ain )
22. Coppel might go well. Delaplace will attack.
23. Docker and Kluge??? No.

Pretty much on the mark. Can't see LS Haedo doing anything here (neither would JJ). But I guess that's why you've got all those question marks

I actually think there are a lot of riders that have a good shot at this one... obviously Gilbert and EBH favourites but no formality... I'll go with Bole or Simon Clarke
