I'm really excited by the 12th Tour of Taihu Lake. The startlist is so incredibly mediocre for a .Pro race it could throw up some really unlikely stage winners.

Currently the highest ranked rider on the startlist is Milan Menten followed by Jason Tesson (using either the UCI or PCS rankings)
A bit surprised that Astana is not there to get potentially some easy ranking points. You'd think the combination of the Chinese sponsor and the need to stay in the WT would mean an opportunity like this should not be passed over.

I posted a map and the start list for today's Gran Piemonte in the following thread because that's where Italian Week talk was started. For those who will watch the final warm-up before Il Lombardia.

So you thought the days of Hirschi winning 1.1 races for UAE were over? Noo ... time for
Giro del Veneto on Wednesday 16 th (1.pro) Verona to Vicenza 173 km , start at 12.40 CET, TV from 15.00 CET

The last week of great cycling has begun and as is now customary, the roads of the Veneto Region will close the professional calendar. It starts tomorrow, Wednesday 16 October, with the Giro del Veneto 2024, 173 km from the Arena di Verona to Vicenza, Monte Berico (official startlist below), and ends on Sunday 20 October with the Veneto Classic 2024, which will start from Soave and end in the center of Bassano del Grappa for a total of 195 km.

For both races, the organizers of PP Sport Events have managed to guarantee live coverage on Rai 2, with a time slot ranging from 15 to 16.45. Fans will therefore be able to enjoy the last laps of the electrifying Monte Berico circuit as far as the Giro del Veneto is concerned, and the last laps of the La Tisa di Colceresa circuit and then the decisive roughness of Diesel Farm and Contrà Soarda as regards the Veneto Classic. In the commentary booth there will be two true Venetians such as Stefano Rizzato and Giada Borgato, who know these roads well.

Abroad and in the United States, the race will be visible on the Discovery+ player, with international commentary by Rob Hatch, from 15 to 16.30.

Thank you. Based on watching it last year, I’m looking forward to the Veneto Classic, which had some great gravel roads through the vineyard reserves. More akin to Strade Bianchi than the Paris-Tours vineyard route.
