Bardiani also got their first non-NC win of the season yesterday, so they have moved closer to overtaking Picnic and Roojai Insurance in the hunt for GT/WT invites.
Quite important for Bardiani as I don't think the Giro will bring them many points and Turconi has struggled this year

Remember when fred wright was the next British tom bonnen?? Now his fanboys are complaining about motodrafting when he's in the early break at a Belgian semi-pro race.
Good comparison actually, Boonen only got really good in his mid-20s too, so there's still time for Fred yet, I'm not saying he will be an all-time great but I'm expecting at least 5 or 6 monuments minimum.

9th in tro-bro the other day, finding some form, let's see if he can continue the upwards trajectory with a good result at the 'circuit de walonie'.

He needs to tell his new team to stop with the 3000m 4 weeks altitude camp in chile/peru nonsense. Bonnen wasnt doing any of that. Just some good training days in South of spain and some good contacts.

In all seriousness, don't think he ever did altitude to prep the classics before, seems like this year it didn't work.

I'd just assumed Alpecin had Philipsen here given they're using all their guys chasing down this doomed attack but they're going I think for Gerben Thijssen.
