Haas beting Goss in a sprint? I guess Goss form is still "excellent". Anyway Haas looks very powerful so far in the Australian races. I'm curious if he can keep this form for the European races.

Not exactly a flat sprint but certainly you'd expect Goss to win by two bike lengths if he was in 2010 shape. Still, it's early.

If it was 2010, that finish was perfect for him, and it's not that early for a sprinter.
Let's see how he goes in the next stages.

Looks like Garmin got their a.ses kicked.

Possibly still getting back on track after getting dumped by that gust at the Nats TT. Either way, still not good enough from all four as a team. I guess Von Hoff is excused being a sprinter.

Also, Bennett should have been up there too!

Clarke is still riding well and Wurf looks like he's coming into form. Hope he gets to lead Cannondale at some other smaller races this year, he's an underrated rider.

Jack Haig did well to stay with them, seems to be coming along well.

Looks like they chased a big strong break all day with 6 (5) guys.

He said on twitter the reason for his poor early season form is a tooth infection. It's disappointing cause he could have really done well in the NZ nats-TDU-Herald Sun, but now he is just average. I hope the rest of the season will be better for him

Maybe I'm wrong but Wurf doesn't seem to have a "winning move" and maybe that's way he's underrated. But overall, he's great domestique. Also Bettiol in the front group; I think he's sort of a climber (?). I hope Cannondale is building a good climbing team again with Formolo, Vilella, Bennet, Caruso, Salerno, Mohoric (maybe)...

Looks like they were a tactical joke more than anything. Didn't chase at all because they had Morton and Von Hoff in the break even though they were never going to handle the climb as well as the top three who also had teammates to drive the break along before then. The beauty of no radios and not having the necessary experience.
