That is Astana, i don't know when the new rule will be enforced. But the the points will be divided into team and personal points. Team points will stay with the old team if I understand correctly.

Don't count Goss out yet, he's up there with the points and has a whole team dedicated to him for a singular mission. When the real GC stages start coming and if Nibbles is in top contention then strategies will start to change quite a bit for Liquigas.

Goss who can't

(a) win with one of the two dedicated sprint trains that worked in week one
(b) beat the full field when fully fit
(c) win against an injured Cav, the best flat sprinter
(d) win against an injured Greipel, the 2nd best flat sprinter
(e) win against Sagan, the best uphill sprinter

As I heard it said one one of the podcasts last night, Orica GreedEdge have come to the tour aiming to win sprints with a sprinter that's not good enough to do so.

While Goss is, like Sagan, finishing consistently well almost every day, and competing for intermediate sprints, are there many more days for him to best Sagan? Stage 6 a major blow IMO to his hopes of Green. It's Sagan's to lose.

Sagan's to lose? Pretty foolhardy statement there. Goss is only 31 points behind and he's more consistent in finishing ahead of Sagan in the intermediates as well as the pancake flat runs. He's been closing in the gap consistently. With that kind of spread comes worry, and that's where you need your teammates to make a difference - teammates that are going to be reserved for Nibbles, assuming he has the legs in the days to come - and that's my entire point.

the later stages parcourses don't fit Gossy anymore, Sagan still have a chance to get to some of those intermediates even finishes. Gossy somehow won't even be a factor on most of those intermediates.

We are only on the first mountain stage and only one week in. Nibali has a chance at yellow but there is still alot of racing to come. We'll have to see how Nibali fares against Wiggins in the time trial and if he attacks in the mountains to know if he really will be able to take yellow.

The question is whether Wiggo will be able to keep this form till the third week, since he was on a high also at the Dauphine...but with such a Froome it will be hard for anyone.
I'm sure Nibbles isn't 100% yet tho, and he's still building for the next weeks.

There's lots to come, but Nibbles really can do wonders.
