Gazzetta dello Sport says teams are negotiating

The next “super team” may come together through the fusion of Liquigas-Cannondale and Team Saxo Bank next year, according to an Italian newspaper report. The Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the two teams are working towards that goal. The Italian team is losing its sponsor at the end of the year, but has the UCI points that Saxo Bank desperately need to retain its WorldTour licence.

The Gazzetta reported that Nibali will move to BMC Racing Team, together with Alessandro Vanotti, Valerio Agnoli, Sylvester Szmyd and Daniel Oss.

Gazzetta says Nibali is going to Astana with Vanotti and Agnoli.
Szmyd and Oss are the one allegedly going to BMC.

basso would not do anything for contador than an healthy navarro could not do. sagan has the potential, but he is still young (guess it was the same with boonen in 2004). canc is.. brilliant.

Because Contador would do Tour and Vuelta and Basso Giro. And of course Paris-Nice/Tirreno and Dauphine/Swiss Tour. Perhaps there is a chance in Catalunya and Pais Vasco.

Wishful thinking- but won't happen. Basso did never bother helping Nibali at all, so what makes you think he'll do a single pedal stroke to aid Alberto?
IF the merger takes place- Ivan will go a week-long races in Italy & elsewhere while Contador assembles the troops to go for the double..
